You can use the built-in latency correction parameter in CubaseSX3, but because you have recorded only MIDI data from your drummer this can be easily corrected in the MIDI editor of SX3. There might be a little sync-off in the result when you record audio via the M-Audio card and MIDI data via USB. The last part is synchronization in CubaseSX3. But i don't think that will be a problem. The M-Audio card doesn't play any role in this parts.īecause i don't own a Trigger I/O i can't exactly say something about using both, MIDI port out and USB out, in *parallel* on it. Trigger I/O MIDI out via USB -> USB in on PC -> Recording MIDI in CubaseSX3 Is absolutely fine for realtime-monitoring the sounds from the DM5 and i can see no hurdles with latency in it. Trigger I/O MIDI out -> DM5 module MIDI in -> Audio from DM5 module Main L/R out -> mixer in (if that's what you have in mind) It does not make any difference if you play your MIDI keyboard or the drums via Trigger I/O.
